What we've learned in Ms. Kennedy's class

Picture

This week we learned about negatives and positives. We also learned about absolute value and how to ask "How far is a number from zero?" in the short version!

We learned about Milestones, which is the new CRCT. We also learned how we will answer questions on the Milestones and practiced for it. We must be able to show our work and explain WHY we put our answers.

We learned how to simplify fractions.

How we learn in Ms. Kennedy's class

Picture
We use technology in class to learn math. We use Mathberries and laptops.

Mathberries are little electronic devices where we answer questions from the warm up and send the answers to the board. We answer our fraction bell ringers to wake up our brains.

We use laptops in class to practice typing, to prepare for Milestones and to create the newsletter.

Ms. Kennedy even took us outside. we completed a math activity about positive and negative numbers.
